The first and most obvious thing in an interview is what you wear. Always be mindful that there are those jobs that will need a decent outfit for work as well as for interview. If you're trying to apply for field work such as construction, mine, farm, etc then you can just put on casual wears.

If you going to wear a suit, make sure that it fits properly. Always match a good tie with your suit. Interviews are an essential part of the application process and it is beneficial for you if you can make a good impression on the first meeting such as an interview. You'll definitely want to show your best on this scenario.

When you're done planning what to wear it is not time to make further research about the company you're trying to apply to. Do your research. Learn all the things that you can from the company that you want to get yourself employed in. It is important for you to know what the goals of the company are. What is the brand? Determine what sort of products or services they are offering. Each company has their own slogan and it is something that you should know. Who was the owner/chief executive/other important people in the company?

Once you have done your research, you'll be able to answer questions regarding the company's info easily. You can include some of the information that you learned in the answers to some of the questions they may ask.

Next, you want to be aware of the kind of questions they will be asking. A common question in an interview is "why do you want to work with us?". As soon as you've formulated a great answer for this, try to incorporate the information about the company that you have researched. Another question that can pop out in an interview would be your strengths as well as your weaknesses. They ask you this question to get your reaction. Thus, you should always be relaxed and be prepared for it. Think about you would say. If asked about your weaknesses, try to think of those common weaknesses that others have so you won't have to be too hard up thinking of your own deficiencies.

They might ask you about your job experience. Emphasize key areas, the ones you're most comfortable with, and the ones you're most successful at. Don't volunteer any negative information. Be sure to talk only when asked.

After the interview is over, thank the person. You can also call back after a few days and thank the interviewer personally. That gives the impression that you're still interested in the job, and that goes a long ways.
