There's actually only 1 thing you can rely on in this life - it will certainly all go on. Whether you like it or not, things are going to change.
Things are going to switch, adapt, adjust, and morph through time, and to be honest, you have no control of what really goes down. Yes, we can have certain ideas for what we would like to see in our future - but actually it is beyond control when we really mull it over.
If we dive into the land of the past, the place we can basically never go back to, we begin to experience the same exact reality also - all that is done is done and we are able to never change it. Sure, we may be able to hide it from people who don't know better in the present, but in fact, what has happened will invariably be there in the back of our minds. We must learn to accept our past and move forward with dignity. There is no other way.
We must truly allow life to go on.
We must permit ourselves to let go of the past and stop always focusing on the future to give us a honest and great opportunity to live in the present.
The present, truly when it boils down to it, is the only moment in time that we honestly have. And yet, so many humans appear to live everywhere but in it. Many are stuck in the tar of the past or trying to swim to the future as speedily as they can - only to find that living in both these places yields absolutely zip.
So be here and now.
Be present.
Truly allow life to go on and begin to experience the wonderful things about what's straight in front of you.
