Ways Christian Churches In Las Vegas Treat Their Visitors

By Donna Miller

Churches have become more focused on making sure that they get many people attending the services and less of making sure that they worship God. Most people think that the higher the number of people in the church the better but this is not the case. Going to the place of worship should be more about seeking guidance from God and less on the crowd. Here are ways that the current Churches in Las Vegas cater for the guests.

Treating the visitors in a way that will make them feel genuinely welcome is a way of extending the love of God to others. Visitors will become brothers and sisters in Christ so they should be taken care of as family. Treating visitors well will not guarantee you of their coming back to the church, but will also determine whether they will choose to go on in the quest about Gods teaching.

There are some things that you can do to make the visors in your church feel more welcome. There are some easy things that the church can put into practice and others that every individual can apply to make sure visitors feel most welcomed.

First off, have one or two individual at every door entrance. The door greeter should be aware of the varied classes for all the age groups or should be able to point the visitors to a person that will help them accordingly. This is also the right time of passing out any weekly or daily flyers containing lots of information on the events and activities of the church. By doing so, the visitors will not be the only ones feeling welcomed, the members too.

It is important for a church to have a visitor center, particularly on Sundays. This center should have few friendly church members. Do not just direct the visitors where to go, take the imitative and take them there. The visitor can have stress maneuvering their way around the church since it is an unfamiliar place. Escorting the visitor increases personal touch and makes them get the feeling that they are important to you.

Another method of helping visitors is by wearing name tags. Church visits can at times be very overwhelming. Cramming the names of every individual is not the very first thing on the mind of the visitor. It is accommodating if the welcoming team, like the volunteers and door greeters in the visitors center, wear name tags.

You should also take the time to talk with the guest and find a bit about the guest. Try to do this without intimidating them. While some guests might be willing to share their details, there are those who are reserved. Try a much a possible not to intimidate the guests.

Lastly, always make follow ups with the visitors. During their first visit in the church, make sure that they fill a visitor card bearing their names, phone numbers, and addresses. Get someone in the church to call them in the course of the following week and tell them how much enjoying their visit was.
