Now in the event that one would have a strained relationship, he would usually ignore it and think that it would fix itself in no time. What many people do not take into consideration is that people have feelings and if those feelings are not let out and fixed immediately, then negative behavior will spring out. Of course the coaches have to fix this before the negative behavior will have a chance to get out.
Now there are only three things that the coach will be suggesting to the clients based on how the coach has evaluated them. Now these choices are amend the relationship, just let it go, or just simply create another one. Of course just like any counselling session, the first thing that coaches would do would be to have a word with the client.
Of course the coach cannot only look at one side of the coin as there are other people who are involved in the case. So aside from talking to the client directly, it is important that the coaches talk to the other affected parties along with the client. So for example, if the client has a problem with the wife, the client has to bring the wife.
Now when assessing the relationships of people, he has to make sure he knows what the main problem is or simply put, the root of all evil. After he has done this, then he will have to have an individual session with both of them so that he will know what they think individually. By speaking to them individually, he will be able to get them to talk more objectively.
After he has already done this, then the very next thing to do would be come up with strategies or activities. Of course one is most likely familiar with the open forum wherein both parties are allowed to say anything. However, the counsellor has to make sure that he mediates it because it can turn ugly if uncontrolled.
Of course another exercise would be the positive reinforcement activity wherein one would list down the positive things about the other person and vice versa. Of course after that, they both have to discuss it. From there, they will now both write the negative things about each other.
Of course there will be times wherein the parties just cannot reconcile anymore but do not want to terminate each other. Now in this type of situation, the coach will just suggest that they give each other a lot of space. That way, they can still visit each other but not have to make each other angry all of the time.
