With these factors in mind, humanity should always have a backup plan on and an emergency kit whereby a survival kit is a package of basic tools and supplies prepared in advance as an aid to survive in an emergency. Depending on the situation and the nature of the environment the emergency survival gears differ in both quantity and quality.

During crisis normal food sources tend to be so scarce to an extent of starvation. With this in mind, part of the gears that is very vital in an emergency kit is the dried food like nuts and dried cereals, the dried substances are the best candidates in the gear because they are light and have a high nutrient value as compared to other wholesome foods.
