Make The House Look Great With Fall Wreath Ideas

By Stacey Burt

There are many different decorations that may be used when the seasons change, and there are many bright hues that are used when autumn weather sets in an area. A home will look warm and inviting when it is decorated with great fall wreath ideas. Children will enjoy helping with this exciting task when the right materials are used for each project.

A small home, that is designed in a cottage style, will look warm when a variety of autumn hues are scattered purposely through out the house. A spacious mansion style home will look stunning when larger pieces are place on interior or exterior windows and doors. A personal touch will be to add family photos to sandy colored wooden wreaths, and this will look nice when placed in a living room over a fireplace.

Fabric is a great choice for a client to use as a base for a new wreath project, and brown or orange strips can be intertwined around the frame before other items are attached. There are also many natural items, such a pine cones, that will look fabulous when glued to a frame. There are also many quality metal bases that fabric may be wrapped around to accentuate the current season.

Before the project is started, the customer will want to get quality tools, and these are easily ordered at a local craft supply shop. There are also many different sizes and round shapes that are used as the base, and the customer may need to measure the hanging space. The consumer will also want to have a sturdy hot glue gun, fabric, yarn and other items, like small plastic nuts or corn.

The best part of doing this type of craft activity is because it is relatively easy and inexpensive to make. Seasonal items, like pumpkins and fall leaves, will look great whether real or made from plastic or fabric when attached to the base. Young children will also love helping to decide on where items are going to be placed on this unit when being created.

A cloth tie at the top of the wreath will help it to stay in place on a front or back door when completed. A finished piece may also be adhered to a wall or door via the top on the back, and a hanging metal piece will easily help it to stay. A small personal item may be to add a wooden initial that establishes who the owner is based on the initial for last name.

A simple piece may be constructed of rich brown, green or orange colors to signify the start of a new season. A non traditional item may include rich red peppers added in with items that are normally associated with the fall seasons, such as pine cones and nuts. The craft person may also want to experiment with shapes, such as using all items that look like a circle on the unit.

The customer may need to make more than one item so that the front and back of the house is decorated, and autumn colors are beautiful and unique. Nature is commonly used as a them with this type of project, because it looks creative and blends in with the outside area. The finished unit will be a proud display for the client to show how accomplished they are at creating a lovely home.
