Anxiety is a common emotion. This is something that you feel when you are not comfortable with the situation. But there are times that this can be too extreme and the way you feel is not considered normal anymore. In this generation, there have been several discoveries about certain conditions that are not evident but is in fact considered a disorder.

The feeling that you would experience when you are anxious is very unsettling. People who have these disorders suffer from daily dread. And one of the most alarming results from the researches that have been conducted over the past years is the fact that it has also been a cause of more serious physical and mental conditions. There are even people who have committed suicide.

One of the things that you have to know is the important information regarding the different types of anxiety disorder. You may have it or you do not. So to be sure, you have to have the details first before you can conclude anything. It would be premature to take medication when you are not really sure about it.

One common type is the panic disorder. This is usually characterized by attacks. It can be the worst of all kinds because the attacks are unprecedented. There is no way of telling when it will happen to you next. Most of the time, it is confused with a heart attack because the symptoms and the feeling is the same. People feel like they are being gagged, it is difficult to breath and there is a degree of suffocation.

Being around people will surely give you the chills. This is especially true if you this is the first time you will be in that crowd or gathering. There are times you feel that you do not belong. And this is normal to some degree. But if you decide on not going because you are scared that people will criticize or embarrass you, then there must be something terribly wrong.

According to experts, the anxiety comes from the thought that you will be humiliated or judged when you try to show your face in the crowd. The formal term for this is the social anxiety condition. You do not do well in crowds and you tend to think so little of yourself that you could not stand it at all.

Phobias over things and situations can be considered as anxiety conditions as well. This is something that is not so serious if you learn how to deal with it. But there are others who can result to a panic attack. During these times, it becomes extreme and dangerous.

There are various causes as to why this happens to a person. It can be because of the upbringing when you were a kid. This can also be the result of an incident that was too traumatic for you.
